Rules

 

1. All participants need to sign-up in the management system;


2. Participants can form teams of up to 5 people. After the acceptance of an invitation from a team,  team members are no longer allowed to quit from the team;


3. Each team will have a name of up to 15 characters and a designated leader;


4. Each participant can only be in one team. Any participant who joins multiple teams by signing-up multiple accounts will be instantly disqualified;


5. Teams are allowed to merge to one team of up to 5 people. Teams are not allowed to split or be disbanded;


6. Participants are allowed to use open-source code or tools. Any unpublished or unauthorized code or tools are prohibited;


7. Participants are only allowed to use the dataset provided by the contest; no other data and pre-trained word vectors are allowed to be used, without written permission, the data provided by the competition may not be used for any other purpose;


8. Participating teams can update the validation set results during the course of the contest. Submissions are limited to 2 times per day per team. To form a  combined team, the total number of submissions made by all its members must not exceed the limit (total days since the competition starts multiply daily submission limit). For example, if three members plan to form a team on day 5,  the total number of submissions from them should not exceed 10 times.

 

9. All top 10 winners should submit their model description and pieces of code, with necessary code annotation, which can repeat the winning scores. In addition, top 10 teams need to attend a workshop held by Datagrand, which is planned to be organized at Beijing around Sept. 15;

 

10. All models which generate the submissions must follow the GNU General Public License v3.0, and need to be published at a website designated by the organizers;

 

11. Submissions and models must be original, and may not violate any relevant laws of the People's Republic of China, and do not infringe any third party's intellectual property rights or other rights; once discovered or verified by the right holders, the scores will be canceled;

 

12. The intellectual property of the submissions is owned by the participants. The organizer has the right to use the submitted work and winners' information for promotional materials, such as publications, designs, media press releases, official website demonstration, exhibitions (including tour exhibitions) and other activities.
