Final Evaluation Methods and Thank You

Dear all,

First, congrats to all of you on completing this competition! I sincerly hope everyone has some fun and learnt something new.

On May 29, the Beijing Municipal Environmental Monitoring Center stopped providing air quality data from 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM, May30. The details are in this [post](https://biendata.com/forum/view_post_category/167 "post").

As the result, KDD Cup committees have decided to use the following evaluation methods:

1) for the 31 days stage, we will abide by the existing rule and calculation, and use any existing data as the ground truth;

2) for the specialized prize for the last 10 days, we will drop the scores of May 27 and May 28, and only calculate the scores based on the remaining 8 days;

3) the competition ended at 23:59 5/31 without extension.

The platform, Biendata, will provide some additional prizes for those who have best models on May 27, 28 and other days on which sudden air quality changes occurred. We will reveal the details later this week. Please notice that this is not an official prize from KDD.

After June 3, we will finalize the leaderboard and collect the models from winners for final review.
